Some decades back, a CM from a Southern State had asked for separate flag for his State, as also a permission from the Centre to import rice directly from Burma. That time also, no voice of protest was raised. In the present case, the Congress being a partner in the coalition, is not expected to object to this demand, lest they run the risk of losing power in the State. The Left, as usual, are silent supporters of anything which is against the national interests. Long live "secular" politics and coalition "dharma"
