@dot I think u need to brush up ur history....mughals empire was largest during the reign of Aurngjeb and that too did not extend beyond Hyderabad(Hyderabad was not under them)..Though Akbar had the vision of having a unified india he was never successful.. Now as per the discussion on migration i think the main cause which made the muslims stay here was the property they had here...no one will like to leave everything here and go to a new country to start a new life from zero...Hindus in pakistan would have done the same had they been given the oppurtunity... So its not the patriortism that made the muslims stay in India...
