I think tax payers money is being wasted in having a system of policing which instead of "policing" is merely "protecting" a select few. Ideally, the policemen accompanying the youth should have the right in the first place to warn their "wards" when they start going astray and if necessary put them in preventive custody. In this particular instance there seem to have been enough grounds even before some other kids took law into their hands for the genuine lawmen accompanying the alleged eve teasers to restrain them forcibly from partying and informing their parent of the miseeds. Unless we restore the dignity to law and the lawmen, we will only witness this sort of summary justice. Now the state machinery should be working overtime to arrest the kids who manhandled the minister's son and conveniently an alibi has also been created of a "missing service revolver". The police officer who allegedly lost his gun should have been suspended first and both the cops should have been served with show cause notice for not preventing the minister's sons from eve teasing which is a non-bailable offence.
