Friend, you are quite erudite in your observations. What use is something which cannot fulfil it's ultimate objective? That too after hurting the sentiments of all religions & inflicting many a wounds on the citizen's psyche? This is a common view. But the Criminal Kangress & It's Chamchas are hell bent on getting this project through, come what may. From this, an easy conclusion can be had that all this Drama is being enacted & pushed through with an ulterior motive i.e. the Benefit of Trade Lobbies being nurtured by the Kangress & Lungi Karunanidhi.
