RAM SETHU
by srinivas shrini vas on Feb 29, 2008 05:33 PM

Ours is a country predominantly Hindus.Even the minorities in our country to my knowledge and belief mostly converted due to the influence of Muslim rulers and British Rule over the period. If I am wrong, I wish someone enlightens me on this.

Ram and Hindu Gods existed even before other religions as there is written proof in our Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavatham,Ramayayana and Mahabharatha.

Further, Ramayana was originally written by Sage Valmiki and Ramayana is written by sage Tulasidas and also Respected tamil Poet Kambar. These three belonged to different times.Further, Saint Thyagaraja has created Kirtanas on Rama and Saint Bhadrachalam Ramadas has created many kirtanas on Rama in Carnatic Music. All belonged to different times. There may be different monumental work done by great poets and writers in other languages also.

Hence, all Hindus believe and worship Rama as God. Hence, the government of the day has no business to contradict this and if they do that, they donot have the mandate to rule as they should not hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus.I only pray to Lord Rama that good sense should prevail on the people who say that Lord Rama never existed.

To me if somebody says Lord Rama never existed , then let them also say that God (any faith) never existed.
