Recently Minister Mr. Sibal visited Australia and on the SBS Hindi channel Ms. Jaya Sharma took his interview. Jayaji asked him, when India is progressing so fast why the intelligent people are leaving for jobs in foreign countires such as USA etc. To that the Minister replied that about 25000 NRIs have come back since 'we have offered them good job with big salaries and best facilities'. This is a very wrong assumption that our scholars are leaving the country for better life. They go out because they are certain that their talents will be recognised abroad. 25 years back my friend's son went to USA in a big IT company. One day the company was stuck up with a problem and they were about to loose millions. His son requested them to handover the papers and he will find the solution. Within two days he could solve the problem. Immediately that Company recognised his talent, he was promoted as a President of the Company and given a big pay cheque along with a big bungalow with 10 acres of surrounding beautiful garden. If this would happened in India, he would not have got credit for his achievment but somebody from Ministry would put forth their cousin to take credit and this fellow would have been even dismissed that he should not make any complaint etc. So recognition of talent is the main criteira for which the intelligent go abroad and not for job.
