Actually, there is less fight between North and South (with the exception of Tamil Nadu, which continues to be one of the most separatist states in India). But there is definitely fight between West India (esp. Maharashtra) and the rest of India. Hon. Pratibha Patil was literally pasted on the Presidential chair by Maharashtrians, despite most of the remaining public of the country supporting Abdul Kalam. Consistently, one can notice India being represented by Mumbai and Pune on manipulated literature, despite the fact that Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Noida are way advanced than any of those two backward cities. If at all the only North-South divide I see is between Punjabis and Tamils.
