I had heard about problem of North Indians in TN. Apart from the language problem (since I don't speak tamil) I did not find any other problem. I could still manage with english and a little hindi.
The fact is hindi was being forced during 70s and 80s (correct me if I am wrong). Rather than forcing people to learn a new language, if you can explain the benefits, most of the people will learn the language. Most of my tamil friends speak good hindi... though I could not learn much tamil.
TN is far better than what Thackreys have in plan for Mumbai. Save Mumbai ...
