While much of energy is spent in developing guided missiles, priorities should be identified on the immediate requirements of the armed forces, for indigenous technology. Even if it takes several years, efforts should be made to develop technology from the drawing board to build systems like aircraft carriers. This would not only ensure that we have the technology for some of the advanced equipment, but will also make sure that we do not have to depend on another country for those equipments.
