From the perspective of someone who knows a little biology let me add a scientific point of view. A lot of people call gay men and women abnormal because it takes a man and a woman to create a child. Unfortunately, sex in the human species stopped being solely about procreation a long time ago (I am speaking of evolutionary timescales here thousands of years). Sex between two human beings can be about fun, an expression of love, power politics etc etc etc. Therefore, once you remove the element of procreation from the picture, sex is about who you are attracted to and it is quite possible to be attracted to members of the same sex. All the stuff below about negative and positive and north and south poles is nonsense. Science does not have an opinion, it cannot have an opinion. Science only believes in data and so far there is no data that states that homosexuality is abnormal. Before some of the brainless people who visit this site start accusing me of being gay, for the record I am straight. However, I do not see why this allows me to discriminate against people who are gay. Actually, if I spoke from a biological point of view I would actually encourage other men to be gay, less competition for the female gender for me. I am being facetious here but if propogating our genes is the sole reason for sex then I would definitely wish that all other men were gay. My point is that procreation is not the only reason for sex and therefore being gay is as normal as being straight.
