It is the Mallus who made money in the Gulf till pre-80s. The undercuttings were made by other groups that were latecomers and in the bargain the Mallus and the latecomers from India (I do not want to name them) lost out. When the Mallus were ruling the roost (pre-80s)even non-matriculates made money - not the case now. so do not blame the Mallus for the screwing up of salary.
