Killing a Lt. Gen in the pak army should be a no no for islamic militants. Once they have crossed this line, its a matter of time before they are eliminated. I think the islamists have badly miscalculated. This operation shows that its the arabic terrorists that are finally in charge of the paki islamists as it ignores the ground reality of pakistan. In a way its good, pakistan will finally be able to move beyond terrorism. Although in the short run it will be painful. The problem with pakistan is not USA but rather Saudi Arabia. Saudi and their wahhabi fundamentalism is not good for the subcontinent simply because of the diversity of the groups within it and an other wise liberal culture. It works in saudi as the population is barely 20 odd million but not in large states.
