Rediff should see that the discussions are on the topic cited. what has religious cat fight got to do with an army officer being killed ? I wonder how the religious fanatics would answer the following questions:
1) In Mahabharata, the pandavas conceived thru illicit affairs of their mother with people whose castes are not clear, are epitome of goodness, even when they sneer at Karna for being of indeterminate caste. Their pal Krishna is lascivious, an adulteror and advocates cheating in battle, yet he is God ! 2) Islam advocates violence against people who views may differ, it reduces women who bear and nurture men to the level of cattle and enjoins barbaric punishment even for mild crimes. 3) Jesus was supposed to have been born of a virgin women, scientifically impossible ! its followers like the crusaders, spanish adventurers and in the present age some americans and europeans have tortured and murdered countless innocents even though Jesus have admonished them to show the other cheek ! 4) the Sinhala thugs (supposed to be buddhists) have killed and murdered scores of tamils and their present President looks like a primitive killing monster. The Buddha must be crying in his grave.
Can all the fanactics reconcile these acts of religions with simple humanity ?
