South Terror conduit
by PKN on Feb 23, 2008 04:18 PM

It is quite astonishing that we are now talking about a southern terror conduit. The South has possibly the best educated and most liberal Muslims of the country. Thanks to the inflow of Gulf money the Muslims enjoy very high standard of living. Also thanks to powerful the Muslim Leaque they enjoy poltical power . Karala did even have a Muslim League CM .
Terrorist ( Jihadis ) coming from states in the south questions the very premise that that Hindus and Muslims can co-exist in this country . The very fact that the BJP and the Sangh parivar were irrelevant in the south was due to the fact that Hindus did not feel threatened by Muslim fundamentalist elements.
All that changes as evidence emerges of Islamic fundamentalism in Kerela and Karnataka. Soon we may find the emergence of Hindu fundamnetalisn in the south with southern version of Modi or Togadia ready to protect Hindu interests.
Secular parties such as the CPI(M) and the Congress must take blame for pandering to Islamic fundamentalist and creating this grave problem. The Kerala assembly passed an 'unanimous resolution' asking for the release of Abdul Nasser Madany arrested for his involvement in the Coimbatore blasts . He was welcomed on his release by cabinet ministers at various reception held by his followers. Why did the Kerala assembly not pass a resolution asking the TN government to release the Kanchi Sankaracharya?
The Muslims of the south must consider if this is the route they want to take !
