Part IIWho says we have right to work and settle everywhere. Can you settle in J&K, then why should the people of J&K have the privilege of keeping people from the other states out? Is their culture suoerior or more precious than that of Maharashtrians? Why should Biharis and UPians be encouraged to maintain their separate and distinct identity in other states and the people of other states be mute spectators to the systematic filling up of their state through nepotism and brazen parochialism that ministers of important central ministries show in filling up posts in their departments all over the country and then spread the idea that the bhoomiputras are less enterprising, less qualified or utterly lazy and Biharis and UPians are the epitomes of all virtues like hard work, perseverance, etc. It is macabre humor. Keep local people out of jobs and then say theya are not worth hiring. Biharis and UPians work for half the wage in other state, which they say they will not get in their state, and that endears them to the Upian and Bihari industrialists and businessmen in states like Maharashtra. Away from home, theya are exploitable, which locals are not because they have a supportive local social structure. The whole matter is quite unjust all round. This time Raj is right in asking the cntral leadership to stop the unscrupulous politicians who are making a virtue out of injustice dressed up as lofty constitutional principle.
