Surreptitious Changes happening in karnataka
by Singha on Feb 24, 2008 08:42 AM

Karnataka has never been a united state. There exist fault lines everywhere....

Lingayat versus gowda (big one)
kannadiga versus tamil (big one)
kannadiga versus telugu
kannadiga versus kodagus
kannadiga versus marathis (big one)
there are fault lines with hindi speakers, konkani and tulu speakers as well.

It is a miracle that the state has been in peace.

Taking advantage of these cleavages, islamists are taking over the strategic Konkan belt and beyond from their bases in mallapuram/kannanur/calicut. One needs to visit Bhatkal, mangaluru, kodagu, shivaji nagar and udupi to get a feel of what is happening. Chikmagalur is a muslim majority town.

It is time for Hindus in Karnataka to unite and face the scrouge of islamism.

The lack of unity caused the felling of Hampi. We should learn our lessons and not allow the fall of Vijayanagara to be repeated.
