People should look at the root cause and not the symptom - if balkanisation happens it will be due to large scale imposition of Hindi and Hindi speaking people on the rest of the country. We should realise that it is insecurity due to threat from Hindi and Northies that will trigger the balkanisation of this country. Either stop large scale migration from overpopulated and underdeveloped Hindi speaking states that will dilute local cultures and wipe them our or make it a law for migrants to make an attempt to assimilate better with their hosts (not by arrogant "Hindi mein bolo" demands, but by learning the local language, adopting local political parties, etc.) if they want to enjoy the economic fruits. Hindi speaking people should understand that there is no India without its diversity.
