Save India
by Ravi Chand on Feb 24, 2008 04:13 AM

Mr Ganguly himself is a classic example of a pseudo secular. These are the people who shout their lungs out when hindus demand equal treatment of all communities, abolition of subsidies (not just Haj but all), abolition of quotas, vande matram issue...the list is endless. These are the people who keep quiet when half a million hindus are driven out of Kashmir, when tribals are converted in the name of money, when Ayodhya, Varanasi are bombed, again the list is endless.
The very definition of democracy and secularism in India has become flawed. Secularism now means special treatment of minorities at the expense of the majority. Secular hindus are projected as fundamentalists for demanding equal treatment and muslims, christians are projected as victims for anything that happens to them under the sun.
No other country in the world gives subsidies to its minority for religious travels (btw, just heard that AP is giving subsidies to christians now). What people fail to realise is that you can have a tolerant and equal society only when you treat everybody as equal.
Our old, thick skinned politicians are taking the country to the dogs. The only hope is the new generation that can see thro the designs of people like Mr Ganguly and his other pseudo-secular friends.
