I completely agree with the broader point of the article that everyone has to be treated equally irrespective of their ethnicity or religious affiliation. Although, hearing it from a RSS weekly writer is a new find. I cant understand why he, in a totally irrelevant way, links religion to this topic. Our constitution reinforces equality, but on the ground there will be some adjustments for minorities or low caste, oppressed people. It is common in every country - In USA, even the private American companies and universities implement positive discrimination. I understand it should be made clear that such engineered opportunities should only be temporary, and the problem of creamy layer should be handled.
