RE:Sermon on brotherhood
by bala sreenivasan on Feb 18, 2008 10:45 AM

Bhaumik,
RSS agenda is inclusive. Through Hindutva, RSS tells all minorities, "you belong here to this great land; by religion, you may be a Muslim, christian or parsi, but by culture you are a Hindu" It is not not an exclusive agenda promoted by semitic relgions that didvide the world as believers and non-believers.
The cultural life of India is dead without the intrinsic Hinduness in it. Recognize it, Respect it. Rest of the things will fall in place.
Take the case of Indonesia, a predominantly Muslim country. they are proud of their Hindu heritage- until recently at least! That does not make them any less muslims than their brethren elsewhere.
What's your answer to the vote bank politics practised by Gandhi-Nehru Party for decades?
Why only temples should be managed by the Govt.
If you accept the fundamental unity of all religions and have respect for them, why do you encourage conversions?
Think, Bhaumikji!
If this is what secularism is all about, I do not want it; I am happy to be a communalist
