I for one is considered a North Indian even by my wife and Maharashtrians consider me as lungi/madrasi
Tarun problem is we all identify ourselves as per our caste/region etc etc . This is mentality carried over from the pre British days, it seems Indians where more Indian during pre british period. I dont see a point in this fight. An Indian should be allowed to live and work anywhere in India as long as State laws and Union laws are respected and observed. If humans did not migrate from one place to another we would have been extinct species by now Congratulations on a nice article written. Look at the venom being spewed by people commenting on the issue instead of trying to come up with objective arguments
