RE:mumbai clean
by Ashish Kanekar on Feb 08, 2008 10:28 PM

Have you ever been outside Mumbai in the state? Maharashtra totally barren? I have lived in Nashik and Pune districts and they are very pretty. Trimbakeshwar 15 km from Nashik city gets 150 cms of rain a year. Only Ahmednagar district does have a lack of rainfall but it has many large rivers like Prawara flowing through it.

Even today the western ghats in Thane and Nashik supply the water from dams through pipes for Mumbai which has no river for water supply. These water resources (totally contained in Maharashtra ) are the lifeblood of Mumbai and surrounding areas.

Have you seen the cities of Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Sholapur, Kolhapur.... etc?

You people know nothing about Maharashtra and its links to Mumbai. Figures....
