BLEME LIES WITH media
by Vishy on Feb 08, 2008 08:14 PM

Good analytical article. Much better than mischivous, provocative reporting by Hindi channels like aaj tak and zee news - who definitely had an agenda in reporting that north indians are being beaten up in mumbai.
How could a national news channel like aaj tak lie in broad daylight when they flashed the text - Mumbai on fire - when as a mumbaikar my day was very very normal like most others.
Felt bad for my marathi friends because of this bad reporting - I was born in Trichy, studied in 5 different cities (since my father was a civil servent) did my engineering from Pune and now working in Mumbai for last 3 years - throuhout these 10-12 years of my life in maharashtra I found maharshtrians to be very friendly and peace loving.
FEELING BAD FOR THEM AS I KNOW WHO IS DOING REAL DADAGIRI IN MUMBAI, who is a real threat to the law, who FEEL PROUD TO BREAK THE LAW.
Time for my friends from UP and Bihar to introspect, to look for answers to questions like - why their states are at the bottom of development - social & economic, why they had to migrate (which is okay and legal), how can they go back and help others in their state.
I am with all the law abiding mumbaikars on this issue. Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra.
