We of simplistic minds want to complicate things..
by Fab Reens on Feb 07, 2008 04:14 PM

People want to appear intelligent by trying to read between the lines. The story above simply means that Nasir turned jihadi because of his own failure in life. He may support his decisions by saying he read it in islam, or was enraged by his father's capture, or a zillion other things. The simple fact is that people like Nasir have lost their mental bearings required to live in peace and harmony with their fellow human beings. Why else would he want to kill innocent people as a cure for his failure? So stop discussing religions and generalising or you all fall in the same simplistic traps that he fell into. What a pity!
