not impressed with the judgement
by Chanakya on Feb 07, 2008 01:58 PM

I am unable to understand how the legal system/law works in India. for a case like this, where there is no physical harm done, the judgement is pronounced by a 'fast track' court for life imprisonment - where as there are umpteem number of cases of women trafficking, rapes, raping of minors, molestation in public, forcing in to pornography films, child marriages, etc. etc. which are much crual than the case in question and for which there are no 'fast track' courts or fast judgements. the culprits with their political hold and money power either drag the cases for decades or go scotfree after repeated appeals to higher courts.
need a total revamping of the legal system/law and a time limit for every case for judgement where chargesheet is issued and offense proved.
