RE:A small request to all believers
by VH on Feb 06, 2008 07:39 PM

I guess Hinduism believes in plurality. Hiduism believe in One god for entire living being. That is god is same whether you call him as Jesus, Rama, Krishna, or Allah. Hinduism never believed in conversion. When there is one true god for entire living being then where is the question of saying other religion or god is not true? Hinduism says it doesn't matter what religion you follow as long as you truely seek god he will take care of you.

One may say that there are fundamentalist in Hinduism who dont believe in other religion. Fundamentalists are in every religion. Though their proportion may vary.

There is Maharshi Mahesh Yogi and there is Sri Sri Ravishankar and other Gurus. All of them thought others about meditation. But never converted them to Hinduism. They never said followers has to chant Oum or Rama or Krishna. They said they can chant Amen, Amin, Jesus or Allah and meditate upon the form of God (Jesus, Allah etc) they fell in love.
