A failed community
by Rajagopal on Feb 07, 2008 01:31 AM

We have seen animals protesting violently when their domains are encroached. Natural, as they aren't taught good manners. They feel insecure, they feel the urge to fight their notional ownership back.

It is a pity, that we are seeing this happen to a segment of Indians. They feel awefully insecure and impowerished. They are standing with their back to their wall and cornered.

Historically Maharashtra progresses because of various reasons and contributions. While the state progressed, a segment of Maharashtrians, the natives, were left behind, despite their own home rule and and another very vocal chauvinist local party.

Unfortunate thing is, these sidelined Maharashtrians are failing to see the reason for their backwardness even today and are rallying behind politicians. God save them.
