RE:SHARAT'S KAMRAJ IDEALS AND KALAM'S VISION
by R Balasubramanian on Feb 05, 2008 05:29 PM

Dear Ramesh Iyer, Probably you have very miniscule knowledge abour Kamaraj. He was a person who kept insisting education is important for growth and he cited his own handicap of illetracy to the mass and urged them to get educated. He lived a very simple life appreciated by no other than Nehru and Gandhi. Nehru has stated for Kamaraj a hut is a palace and a palace is a hut. He was a good orator and hard worker and because of him Congress is still alive in TN. But he was betrayed and humiliated by many well known personalities who came latter including MK and MGR.
Sivakasi for graphic printing is known to the world only because of Kamaraj.
In every noble men there lives a devil. So Kamaraj was no exception. He too, due to his proximity to few national leaders and ego to build is community did few mistakes which though known to many got showded due to his popularity.
Late Shivaji Ganesan was a staunch follower of Kamaraj and his relationship with Congress moreso with Indira is a history.
