Deep, what is so communist about this article? Yes it supports our founding leaders - if praising men like Gandhi, Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Vallabhbhai Patel, etc. is somehow communist, then most of the world would be communist - since these men are universally respect in and outside India. - The only exception would be the mudslinging pygmies within the hindutva camp and even there all but the truly nutty elements would respect these figures (although they may not agree with them).

As for the unfinished agenda of development that you refer to, there is clearly a happy medium between Stalinist style collective socialism and radical, the poor-may-be-damned George Bush capitalism. That happy medium and its beneficial power has been historically demonstrated a number of times such as through Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal after the ravages of the great depression.

I don't seen anything hypocritical or indeed ideological about this article - it is just a decent man lamenting the state of his country. Why see ulterior motives in that?
