Dear Saisuresh Sivaswamy

You've just touched a sensitive chord in my heart and made me cry.

Even today -- after over 60 years of independence -- after many an Indian has fasted, to the detriment of their personal health, to help pave the way for our common good ... alas, we have seen nothing but debris and waste strewn in our paths.

"Once the independence-era leadership passed away -- and they were men and women with lofty ideals -- leadership passed on to small-minded people without a pan-Indian outlook, without a vision for the future."

There are other things than dissipation that have thickened the topograpy of our land. Tears, for example.

We cannot even rejoice in our forever shrinking dreams.
