Time to reciprocate
by Sangeeta Salkade on Feb 05, 2008 01:37 PM

As a matter of fact, most of the UP, Biharis, irrespective of literates or illiterates even after staying in other states for several years are averse to learning the local language. They have a superiority complex in them that Hindi is the only supreme language spoken in India. And in Maharashtra this tendency is quite high, that too when Marathi is so close to Hindi.

While its correct that there are lacs of Marathis staying in north and other parts, please note the basic difference. They have mixed up with the local culture like sugar and milk. Imagine if Rajnikant had stuck to his Marathi nationalism, was it possible to become the superstar in TN? Or if Vasundhara Raje said she will only converse in Marathi, would she ever become CM of Rajasthan. The MPs of Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior are Marathis as they have accepted the north culture in good spirit and nationalism.

Please note Maharashtrians always have given due respect to Hindi language and culture unlike TN and North east. Just see whats happening in Assam. Its now time for Hindiwallas to reciprocate and accept Maharashtrian culture in good spirit in the interest of Indian & Hindu nationalism. Please note by abusing each other, we are just harming our great Bharatmata and Hindu culture. There is no need for ISI agents and Talibani to create unrest in India, as their job is getting easier. Jaihind
