this is what happens if, the minority is excluded brutally from society. ethnic indians, are by a large peaceful people, witness the state of singapore, where, a tiny tamil minority lives amicably, in fact even giving a president to them malaysia, is still better, some events nothwithstanding. only this lanka has a running prob with the tamils. tamils are only asking for equality not dominance. the singalese just want to screw them out of the country. this is sad but true. i am not defending the violence there, but facts have to be faced by the srilankan govt.
