Mr.abhinav, no religion has ever stopped people from committing crimes. Pl search for "War Crime Tribunal" to know about the atrocities committed by the participants of World War-II (especially by the Japanese, predominently beleiving in Buddhist non-violence). The less we speak of other religions, the better.

The principles of Buddhism (Panchsheel and Eight-fold path) are much more refined than the principles of any other religion. The Buddhists think of the well-being of all living things (not only humanbeings). Btw I am not a buddhist.
