So you guys are indirectly saying a person who marries a foreigner must not hold political office in case their spouse is an outside agent. That foreigner does not necessarily have to hold the official post herself/himself to carry on the spy work. Sonia Gandhi is an elected representative - she was the PM candidate when Congress won the election - but she chose to turn the post down to keep peace.
