If we look around, no political party is committed to principles, no citizen is committed to follow rules, and no administrator committed to work according to the rules without fear or favour. Everyone is looking at what is the short term benefit to the individual, a caste, or group of people. No one is bothered about the huge loss or cost to the nation.
Religious groups, extremists, have their own agenda. Some want to convert others, some want to kill in the name of religion, some want the hate to continue.
We citizens have forgotten our duty and responsibility. We are always looking at the short cut, quick gain, more benefit even at the cost of our neighbour, or, for that matter, even our own kin! We do not care for our past, we care little about our present and we can't even think of what is to be done for our future generations. Every one is self centred, living as if there is no tomorrow, and no world outside of one's self.
How can such a nation prosper? Politicians do not inspire confidence. Citizens should at least behave responsibly if this nation is to survive the mounting challenges. We continue to pull on because there are some who are still sensible, follow rules to some extent. But if this group also joins the others who disrespect the rule of law, imagine what will happen to this nation?
It is time to say NO to opportunistic politicians. It is time to say NO to corrupt administrators.
