pandits want to come back to kashmir, the issue is not that they cannot leave. after a few killings, all 300,000 of them left. even after 2000 muslims were killed in gujurat, and in spite of threats, 95% of muslims didnt flee. isn't a bit strange that a few killings prompted 95% of KPs to leave? they were urged to leave by the army, and they even left in army trucks which were dispatched to villages w/o violence. KPs are being used as a poltiical tool to show how mean muslims supposedly are. thats why they are still living in garbage slums in jaum despite being paraded around as the 'downtrodden refugees.' no other refugees in india live in such squalor as KPs. they are being used. india has never helped them, just gave them a few tents to pitch in some nullahs in Jammu.
