North Indians could live in Bangalore and Hyderabad without learning the local language Kannada and Tamil. But they could not live in Chennai without learning the local language Thamizh. They live in the illusion that Hindi is the National language of India and every Indian should know hindi. This is the reason why the hate Thamizhans.
Their fascist attitude to impose Hindi in Thamiznadu is thwarted by Athiests like Periyar, Anna and Karunanidhi. And hence they hate athiest too.
