Human Welfare

Agreed, humans are animals too! To Procreate and Preserve are the foremost of the self interests. But that we have the brains, use it - self preservation has to work first in self interest before it becomes a common good for the society. Laws that do not recognise that fundamental principle are archaic and hypocritical. And the judiciary that shirk to exercise its powers over such administrative conveniences have lost their right to judge. We live in real world and the have to be responsible in our right to procreate - while I denounce feoticide for any and all other reasons, the right to terminate pregnancy at any stage is as absolute as the right to parenting. The society does not underwrite any costs - physical, emotional or pure mercenary. In India there is no security for a lot of aspects of social existence. There is a lot of interference by the society for unnecessary rituals without taking any responsibility for it. I admit this applies first to the individual and then to the collective body. Yet unless the collective society first takes the right call (like here genuinely that the parents can terminate) the individual can never respect the society or its rules. If you believe that here they could not have terminated discretely and have yet opted to come to the collective social forum, then you are the biggest irresponsible person in the society and that goes for all of us collectively as impotent nincompoops.
