RE:OMAR ABDULLAH AND THE ILK
by R Balasubramanian on Aug 04, 2008 10:51 AM

Your expectation is genuine but ephimeral. Swami Vivekananda has already said that, an american will also says he is american first not chicagoen, newyorkean, etc. So a European will say he is german, french, etc., and not recognise himself with his city or religion. In India we recognise first with our language, then religion and then caste. This is bane of India and its policies.

Feel happy he did not utter I am a Pakistani and then say it was slip of tongue and correct himself to say I am Indian.
It was a great blunder of all earlier leaders to retain Muslims in our country after partition. Once Partition was decided, all Muslims should have got migrated to Pakistan and all Hindus in Pakistan should have migrated to India. But Hindi films would have been orphaned without story lines as many has been churned out only with this subject.
