You are exactly correct that many modern indians (Madness) accept the MAX MULLER theory of dividing HINDUS. rEAL Indians wont accept as Aryan or dravidian nature. At the same time Indian culture is not based on language which Jawaharlal Nehru divided HINDUS further according to laguage.
