It may be a surprising arguement but it is reality .....
Any living being, when it becomes old and about to die, displays a last struggle, which is not a struggle to survive but a last symptom of life leaving the physical body. This is the case with any entity like religion, ideologiy, theories and even social groupings.
What the millitan islamic ideology and its propagators showing is the same phenomenon, the last struggle, the last struggle before giving up to the fate of disappearing from the scene of its existence, its frame of refference.
Islam is not a religion born naturally, but just out of frustration of a feudal accountant, a young man, who was exploited in all manner, by his owner, who happned to be a rich widow, who used him for her pleasure and success, by taking her young accountant as her husband, which he has to oblige for his existence. Later his frustration and meloncholy led him to formulate a social and religious order, which subjugated the wemen for ever.
Later the group again resorted to spreading its frustration theory through sword, through war and force. Anything which is born out of frustration and sword will perish out of frustration and sword.
The time has come for the last struggle and it is happening. Nobody has to do anything to realise the end but just watch helplessly.
Only pity is that, even during the last struggle of a big one, a few little ones around will perish.. those innocent ones being murdered.
