Its surprising that Gray states that India is only bothered about protecting its own interests. But isnt the West also the same...the whole idea of NPT itself is designed to protect the interests of the West, it gives them the right to permanently keep nuclear weapons while denying it to the rest of the world. How come the West doesnt take the decision of destroying these weapons? Obviously because its against there country's long term strategic interests to do so. So Mr Gray should lecture the West first before accusing India of safeguarding its interests.
