Much of what Squassony and Gray have mouthed is balderdash. To say that India is like British, having only permanent interests and no friends. These gluttonous, loud mouthed Yankees think that their interests alone constitute international/global interest!! But all the same, I fully agree that the 123-Deal should get scuttled at the IAEA and NSG votings. Such an outcome will be truly in India's interests, as that will put paid to traitor Manmohan Singh's plans to not only surrender Indian civil nuke technology leadeship but also India's sovereighnty to US's foreign policy interests. As to the contention of these bloated egotists that India will gain access to nuke technology from US! It is the most laughable statement made by these lobbyists. What civil nuke tech does the US have worth the name? If they say India could gain from France or Germany, then it is credible. But as such India has no nuke cooperation worth mentioning with France and Germany. In fact, these Europeans sneered and jeered India when BARC announced its intent to develop carbide fuel mixture and FBR technology about 3 decades ago. Since then India's nuke scientists have scaled many peaks and crossed many milestones only dreamt of by these confrontationists. One can only hope that Indian nuke science will get at least another 5 years of ascetic isolation from these depredators and spying moles. At the moment India is at the threshold of developing the FBR and the Thorium based energy cycle.
