This project makes enormous economical sense
by tamil boy on Aug 05, 2008 11:24 PM

This project makes enormous economical sense - just be rational and think about the future of the next generation.
People will always be oppose to change, that's natural.
But there is only one constant in this universe- and that constant is change.
We need to change and accept changes.
The Sethu project will bring tremendous economic benefit to this part of India.
Of course, people who are already wealthy will fel threaten, because changes will create a new layer of "nouveau riche"- this can be seen as a threat.
But this project cannot be stop, because some section of the society, sees it as a threat or because others cannot see the benefits of changes.
people has come up with all kind of excuse- from environment, to LTTE attacking India, to corruption, to hurting certain Hindus sentiment etc.
An analogy could be a small child first day ina new school - this sudden change is causing him or her - to be out of his or her comfort zone. Now the child will come with all kind of childish excuse- now as a grown up adult - what do you do?
Now have a paradigm shift and apply it to the Sethu project.
