We accept the shastras. Shastrasa have a mention of Buddha. Thats all.
We have only one authority : God. And anybody who repeats God's instructions (acaryas) are our authority.
Thsi world is like a big ocean and this ocean contains many dangerous philosophies and sectarian religions (sharks) which are ready to gulp you down anytime. But there is only one ship which can help you cross this ocean - BHAKTI - Devotion to God. Thats all.
and our shastras have very clearly mentioned this - God says - only my devotee can understand Me.
