It is heartening to see sane words on Rediff. India is not a homogeneous people to adopt one language (hindi) as national language. Of course native hindi speakers would be comfortable to see this implemented. What is wrong if we learn the local language of our work? I think Indians migrating would love to learn French, German, Finnish, English, etc.. especially due to the compulsory rules to learn it before being allowed to be a resident. Then why not inetrnal immigrants in India not like to learn the local language? By the way, I am not a Kannadiga.
