URA wants to increase sale of his books
by supernova on Apr 29, 2008 12:06 PM

URA may be well renowned author but of late he is walking around with blinkers to his eyes. URA, please note that one cannot force others to learn a language unless there is an economic or social reason to do so. In a communist set up like china there is scope for enforcing such strictures through governments. However, in a free democracy like ours practices and cultures are picked up only if they are relevant to day to day living.

Even if you want to force one and all in KA to learn Kannada, which dialect will you teach? Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Dharwad, Gulbarga?

I can only think that you are a selfish person who wants to enforce educating kannada on one hand, and on the other hand write books in kannada so that you get better visibility, bigger market and hence better income.
