Guys n Gals, Its time to show some tolerance...... Truthfully most languages in India are being given a second preference to English... we cant say its good or bad.... considering the time we are living in, the only language that should be made compulsory is English... As UR Ananthmurthy says learning other languages should be "Voluntary".. at the same time, people from outside should learn to respect local language and culture..... Rediff should take the blame twisting words or UR anantmurthy and print "'People living in Karnataka should learn Kannada'".. He never meant it that way.. its high time media realize that they have a big responsibility towards the society and not act so cheap.
