There is no clause in the 123 agreement that India can reprocess the spent fuel so that it can be re used again as fuel. In absence of the above clause this agreement will put us in trouble like Tarapur.In the case of Tarapur it was a two 250 Mw reactors, where as India is planing to purchace eight 8000Mw reactors from USA. Where will we store the highly radio active material?To generate nuclear power India has to spend three times the cost of thermal power.1Mw nuclear plant costs 11 to 12 crores, where as thermal plant costs 4 crores.USA & UPA Govt. are trying to fool the public in the name of energy security.
