SP has no following in Karnataka
by jamsheed basha abumohammed on Apr 25, 2008 07:56 AM

Bangarappa ruled out any alliance with Congress. He must understand that on his own SP cannot win even a single seat. It is dividing votes that will help the Gowdas and BJP. Congress is very strong but then such splinter groups may cause some upsets to the apple cart. It is better for Bangarappa to join forces with Congress if he is really interest in keeping the communalists at bay in Karanataka. On his own, he will win nothing. Congress leadership including Soniaji must talk to him directly and break the ice. May be Mulayam has some grienvances with the congress due to his third front dealings but then common cause should unite them in karnataka. Congress and allies are bracing for a showdown with the communalists particularly the safron brigade who are trying to make a foothold in the South. The Safran brigade will be decimated in the next hustings is for sure and Bangarappa should strengthen the hands of secular forces. It is in his interest and the interest of the people of Karnataka that all the secular parties unite to keep the Gowdas and BJP away.People of Karanataka are peace loving and they would like progress on all fronts and to them Krishna is a saviour who during his stint has taken Bangalore to the world map through IT revolution. His returning to state politics will augur well for Karnataka and its people. It is in the fitness of things that all minorities muslims, christians, dalits should vote enblock for the success of Congress and its allies in the elections.
